I love the concept… for my pleasure, I love to test multi-material prints. The last test was PETG and PC, which bound surprisingly well with minor tweaks in the design. But this only worked in small test prints.
When I tried in an actual print (a toolbox), the two tests failed with a clog related to the significant temperature difference and multiple filament swaps.
To do such a task properly, you must have a thorough and swift temperature control involving active cooling.
