How’s the K2’s camera compared to the A1 mini. I am tired of waiting hours for the next frame to show.
Well then get an X1, it has a 30fps camera.
Cameras are so cheap I wish they had multiple, from different angles, and maybe even with zoom capability. Absolutely anything so I never have a need to get up off the couch to go look in person.
P1S is 0.5 FPS according to specsheet and mine looks about that.
If you’re not getting than the rated FPS, I can attest that the quality of the wifi link can have a huge effect on FPS. And if you have a meshed wi-fi network, it may not be linking to the nearest node, like you might expect it would. What worked for me: binding my X1C’s MAC to a dedicated mesh node via IP reservation, and whenever I move the X1C I move the dedicated mesh node along with it.
I surmise that the X1C’s wifi is compliant to an older IEEE 802.11 standard, and it’s missing some of the modern standards.
As I said, the X1 is costly to replace parts and I don’t have the time or patience for that (especially not with their customer support). In the end, each printer has its drawbacks, but the A1 mini has less.
You have to be joking, Bambu literally sells every single part on their printers, Creality printers are much harder to get parts for.
I’ve never had a problem ordering parts, provided they’re in stock, from the Bambu Lab store So, there is perhaps an argument for ordering any parts you think you might need “someday” (e.g. extruder parts, nozzles, silicon socks, and the like) well in advance, and keep on-hand, so that you don’t suffer a possible long delay in getting them.
Or, alternatively, there are some third party substitute parts you can buy on amazon and get quickly delivered. I’ve no direct experience with them, but maybe they’re good enough, or at least good enough to limp along on until the part you want comes back into stock at the Bambu Lab store. And if they turn out to be complete garbage, you should be able to return them.
Worth mentioning also is that having a constellation of different printers can save your bacon, because with that comes redundancy, and you can keep rockin even if one or more of your printers have to go offline while you wait for parts. Even two or three years ago this would have sounded like an impractical luxury to a lot of people, but over the last year 3D printer prices have crashed to such an extent that now this is easily achieved by probably almost anyone. Nowadays the limitation isn’t money so much as it is space to put it all. And the real upside is that those printers don’t have to sit idle, they can be used to drastically improve your throughput by parallel printing.
I alos use a Flashforge for small prints so it doesn’t have a 6 minute prep time.
Anybody have an Anycubic printer?
Come on BambuLab, release official information about the new model, we can’t rely on unreliable leaks.
Funny thing, but its recent (mis)communication and then gaslighting its users about the security issues and unilateral removal of already existing features in its new firmware, clearly even Bambu is no longer a reliable source of info.
This one contains info about yet even more knock-offs of Bambulab’s printers that are to be released soon:
lol… he kinda sounds like a Creality sales agent… (just saying)
I had a chuckle when he asked whether or not Bambu was “nuking itself from orbit?” I’ve never before seen such a huge wave of negativity as what we’re seeing right now. But no sense in going into that here, as there are already other threads devoted to that.
I’d say Bambu asked for it (with their last “move” ) … and got from the community exactly what they’ve asked for . As I see it, it’s well deserved.
Slant3D argues that Bambu just doesn’t care. It sold a million printers last year. Or something like that, right? Even if you add together every single critical voice on the forum, it’s just a small drop in the bucket compared to that.
yes, and no. They might ignore us (or qualify us as misguided, misinformed, delusional, … whatever), but @ the end of the day, word of mouth and bad reviews do tend to have an impact and cut off sales.
As i see it, the community’s outcry and backlash , endorsed by inflencers and news did have an effect… not as much as we would have expected, but nevertheless, it did impact Bambu
Sooo… What I’m getting from this vid is that Creality FINALLY listened to the community (and what certain Shenzen resident has been telling them for YEARS) and now FLSUN is the new early creality-type approach
Another interesting tidbit was F3 printer, that looks like a beast.
Anyways: Creality, Elegoo, Anycubic and obviously Prusa are all GOOD now. This, combined with Bambu not listening to the community (and security experts) might change that huuuge chunk of market they clawed themselves into and cause a squeeze. And that’s why competition is good
