Can filament really dry in that short a dwell time? They seem inexpensive enough to just buy one for giggles.
It’s also easy enough to run your own experiment too: snip off a length of filament, weigh it, put it in your filament dryer for the dwell time, then weigh it again and note how much moisture was lost. That’s roughly how much the Thorsden would remove, right? That is, assuming you have a good filament dryer. Then dry it more all the way to bone dry, and weigh again. This time the difference is how much moisture the Thorsden would fail at removing.
I think I would trust this method more than their self-reported results, unless maybe someone here with experience using it were to jump in and vouch for it.
@NeverDie
Probably works with pla or tpu. Doubt it works for things like asa, abs, pc
@h3li0
Im planning on grabbing an e2 the second I see one on amazon. Will be nice for nylon annealing.
The s4 works for 95% of my prints, but for paht-cf, it will be nice to have the added heat
Not necessarily; the Thorsden blows hot air over the filament.
yeah i thought about it as well (here in the EU you can get directly from sunlu and they ship from a EU warehouse), but it’s pretty pricey, and i don’t really use the type of materials that would benefit the most from it, so i didn’t go for it, i have a sunlu s2 and a sovol sh02 and they work fine for me, at least for now but maybe i’ll get more into the engineering materials down the line and that will be back on the shopping list
Good idea, getting a Filament dryer for better print quality. I just ordered the " Comgrow 3D Printer Filament dryer Box SH02" on amazon.
Still waiting for Bambu to release my first 3D printer.
Weird how I, as a 3D printing noob that owns a P1S, is constantly checking this topic. As if I need a better one(To all others like me).
Maybe you want/need just a bigger Bambu Labs Printer because you have so much fun with your P1S?
It’s because you don’t want to end up like the guy with the sledgehammer in the youtube video above, bot want alternatives (like a bigger build area). If Q1 ends with no news and having been strung along twice, a lot of us are going to be hugely pissed.
Looks like Bambu is running a sale on their China facing store that ends on March 16th at midnight, curious timing…
Jey!!! Got my filament dryer as you said.
Added 2 PLA filament spools so that i can dry something until i get my 3D Printer from Bambu labs.
I ended up with the Space Pi Plus, seems good so far I just dont like how the back opens up so wide which like double its depth so you gotta have some decent room behind it.
I would ask you, what that dryer can do better than the cheaper one i got, and how you find out if it is a good one, like what should i look out for while drying the filament. But i wont do that because this is not the right thread here for such questions and better end that now bevor i get scolded.
what does this have to do with the following ?? like this topic is speculations about new printer
Note the door glass color.
First thing I noticed was the color of the front door and side window. Only reason for that color is to protect from lasers. Curious now what that really means.
Just from the photo, feels underwhelming for what it might perceivably cost
i think it might just be a reflection of what he has in his room with the lights i believe that the glass would be the same as before
Having a dedicated extruder for support material is something I’d be interested in. Thanks for sharing this pic.
