Is anyone else disappointed when this thread comes up as a recent activity and you see “New printer (XL) coming” and for a second you think it is a new announcement?
Only to realise this was the belief before the A1 mini launch.
I’m not saying we won’t get one, I’m just saying - that this high followed by a low is getting annoying.
Seems like 4-1-2. I see a switching motor at the bottom and that indicates a movement of one path to either of the two paths. Like I said before, the best I can come up with is the optimized TPU path, which is very straight and and unrestricted (which one path appears to do).
Way? Surprising - not really. Have fun with the A1, I’ve been out since then.
It`s called the BCG-Matrix - The question mark becomes a star, the star becomes a milk cow that you can milk - until the product becomes a biting dog that bites you in the butt…
And if you try to milk other people’s cows on a shortcut, you’ll just get bitten in the butt faster. Nothing new and absolutely normal and will never change.
I didn’t think it was cryptic. I simply meant that with the thread having more than 62.1K views, there seems to be a lot of readers who maybe could have contributed something of interest, but didn’t.
If anyone does, maybe you have the power to rename it? Otherwise, maybe the OP can. Or, we could just start a thread with a more descriptive title and then all of us hop over to that.
We could call it something like, I don’t know, maybe “Speculation about new printer announcements”? I’ll let somebody else name it, because the name doesn’t much matter to me.
Well, in the interest of expediency, I just went ahead and changed it. Cool. I never knew I had special powers.
@JayZay If you object, I’ll happily change it back and we’ll figure out something else. Or, if you have a different title you’d prefer, go with that instead.
Meanwhile, if anyone would prefer a different title, go ahead and suggest it. I just went with this as a placeholder more than anything.
I don’t know about new printer but the AMS has been discounted for several weeks now so I wonder if an improved version (heated may be) is not in the works.
Usually, most people speak out when they have something meaningful to say/add to the conversation. Some of them may choose not to get involved but rather to stick to the sidelines and see what happens or is discussed. Some are simply browsing with no interest in saying anything.
I don’t know if where you are located BL has indeed discounted their AMS units, but here in Europe, their shop lists the AMS at the same price as when I’ve bought my last AMS as addon, in March, which is also the same price they were listing it in October- November last year … So, unless BL has prepared for a new printer launch where an improved or a newly rethinked AMS version will be launched sometime this year, I don’t foresee any changes…yet.
This is exactly my case, I viewed the post hoping for a new printer announcement as I plan to purchase the next flagship when it drops if it succeeds the X1C. If it doesn’t benefit me enough for the extra money then I will buy an X1C. I hope they either release or at least announce the printer this summer before my next semester of school.
Sorry… at the time, the topic title made sense, relating to the BL CEO interview.
As time passed, it naturally evolved into a place to share and discuss our common interest in 3D printer tech, specifically new printers and novel features… for me; it is great to keep updated on the market and learn from other viewpoints.
I never intended to cause false expectations …
I was never annoyed at the title, worse, it just kept making me think (for a brief, wonderful second) that a new printer was due NOW, not when you originally posted it.
I was only pointing out my high, followed by my low. Based on my inability to remember that the title had done that to me before.
You are not at fault, my stupid brain is.
The upshot is, that I believe many of us would like BL to create the large format printer we have been hoping for.
