I’m assuming people describing the image as pyramidal or larger on the bottom are looking at a crop, it’s a photo (allegedly) of a page that’s curled and slightly distorting the image. The product being depicted isn’t “shaped” like that it’s just the paper surface deformation
And the screen seems small because the printer case is something like 500mm wide. Hopefully fake though
April 24 2022 is the date the r/Bambulab subreddit was created. The dates you see in Google Reverse Image Search often don’t relate to the picture but to the date the page (or URL of the page) was first indexed.
In other words: create a picture today, post it to r/Bambulab, and Google will tell you - a few hours later - that it can trace it back to 24th of april 2022.
492x514x626 mm the outside measurements according to the picture. That would likely make it, at best, 450x450x550 printing area, which isn’t that bad… but still.
Well, like I said before, until I’ll see it live and working, I’ll reserve judgment.
Zoom in and look at the reflection of the AMS on the lid. Is it inconsistent or is it me?
Also the “Bambu Lab” at the bottom doesn’t have the little mark on the “B”.
Also, also, isn’t the proportion of the AMS to the printer way off going by the dimensions they list?
I think thats the box size. Edit, nevermind. Brain fart.
If it is fake, atleast somebody is creating some hype for bambu. The facebook page blew up.
Edit, im convinced its fake now. Theres no .25" gap around the door.
Those 2 topics going hand in hand - was my first thought too. But don’t think that will apply. JJTechPrints note would more go into this topic. As soon you like to spray something you need to inkjet something into something - This is where the topic of dispersion quickly comes into play as well, the supporting material evaporates and the supported remaining material. The doughy and spraying transition can be very close to each other, but I don’t think that will happen with 3D printing. It may will by more likely that a pigment may be added, but if this will by done by spraying - than it would also have to be done in a low temperature range and then, normaly, the layer adhesion decreases or was there not something else where people painted their filament with a felt-tip pen and then it mixed in the nozzle during the melting process and they got different colors?. And whereby would then be more in the direction of gluing than fusion. But Gluing is already very advanced today… But that’s just an aside note, otherwise it would turn into an endless discussion that would require its own topic, which I wouldn’t accompany anyway…
However, we will see. I’d rather let myself be surprised than think about it. We have already discussed the Idex here and that in a time window that would be possible for current integration - I think that Bambulab is good at integrating tried and tested procedures, tends to be expanded with tried and tested procedures - but with Bambulab anyway, my assumptions are mostly wrong.
And since it currently it is more important to see who can deliver what than what has been announced. Unfortunately, having to pay more attention to who can deliver, takes a lot of weight out of the topic here Last year the topic of who can deliver was still was limited to newly announced printers - Now it’s slowly even moving into the topic of existing printers.
It shows the term “跳距 550mm” at the top. “Jump distance” is a technical term used in die-cutting machines. We all believe this image is genuine, and it seems that a Bambu supplier has leaked the information.
could be a christmas surprise drop
550mm is probably the size of the paper cut out they are using or the box label size… the rest looks legit to me

The red marks in top left are crop marks for the printing company. It is obvious this must be marketing material. It is easy to nitpick and jump to it being fake but i think it is also equally likely it is indeed real. Especially since more photos have been released after the initial reddit posts, includong one showing 2 tubes going into the toolhead
Also as someone else posted in another post, “Jump Distance” (translate the top of the paper) is a industry term used in marketing materials and labels.
I didn’t do that, it had the red square on the original picture.
The side glass confuses me.
Yeah, it makes no sense. Just zoom in and look at the reflection of the AMS on the lid. It’s AI generated.
There is a bunch of stuff that doesn’t make sense, starting with the error in the logo up top to having absolutely no gaps on the front door
This to me continues to look fake and just someone trying to generate hype
But again I might be wrong, in a month or two someone will have a nice slice of “told you so” it’s just a matter of waiting
That being said, if this is the really the route that bambu is taking , not sure how I feel about it, I was hoping for two nozzles but in a prusa xl approach
By “gaps on the front door” i’m assuming you mean the dark bezel on the glass, the X1 doesn’t have a gap on the door that you’re going to really notice
I can see the gap on my X1C, it’s small but it’s there
Center reflection missing. Could be bad photoshop too.
