Specultive Matterhacks H2S Pricing

Using this possible refrence image we can assume that one of the H2S combos will start at $1900

I can only speculate, and in my view, the value may be about the expected one, but I’m not sure if it’s for a combo, as it doesn’t state in the equipment title, and I am not aware of the H2S specs, i.e. what exactly is different?

Only real main difference is it will not have dual nozzles. But you are likely right this is probaly not a combo and may be the H2S base price.

LOL if that’s the number bambu goes with, we should all start hoarding floppy disks of the current firmwares, cuz they’ve drunk a heroic dose of the apple-wannabe koolaid

I guess it will be hard for BBL to go above 1500€ for the printer and 1700€ for the combo.
The single nozzle setup is the more or less similar to the A1, no expensive dual extruder, no eddy sensor for calibration. The Creality K2 Pro is only 1099€ for the combo. I guess it will
take the price range between X1C which will be lowered in price and the H2D.

I think they completely ignore the market. At $1900 for the combo those will be quite a hard sell.
If this is the price for all bells and whistles version with cutter and laser then it is actually worth it.

They’re always higher than any other place. Is there saying 19, my guess would be 12 to 1300… If that. Maybe more like a grand, just depends. But I wouldn’t go by that price at all…

This is pure speculation.
But if one addresses the values from the same source, MatterHackers:

Comparing the announced value for the H2S ($1900) and current cost for the standard (no combo) H2D ($2149), the cost difference is 249$, or in other words, the H2D (no combo) costs more 13% than the H2D.
If comparing with the H2D combo MH price ($2449), the difference is $549, or the H2D Combo is about 29% more expensive than the H2S Combo.

Now, if (and this is a big if) the only change is a single nozzle toolhead, then my question is, how much does it cost for the toolhead of the H2D?
If the difference is double vs single nozzle toohead, then swifting within printers H2D<—>H2S is only limited by firmware.
So upgrading the H2S toolhead to an H2D must significantly exceed printer cost differences.

Note: I am using MH website values, not BL ones, as @3D_Prints mentioned.
But if one assumes that the standard H2D (€1899) costs more than 15% than the standard H2S, then the:

  • standard H2S cost would be about 1650€;
  • and the combo is about 1950€ (even if the H2S cost 1500€, the combo must cost about 1800€ to be inline with other models)

I think matterhackers price is made up, at least comparing to other price tags it should really be 1,899 not 1,900…

Also, I don’t think H2S will be offered with anything but the AMS, I don’t think a cutter and laser version will be offered but well, we will see on Tuesday

I am assuming this is US pricing with tariff?

This would makes sense if this is in Canadian dollar C$1900.

I don’t believe that at all… $1900 for an H2S would be ridiculous and out of touch, a total Prusa move. (looking at you Core One)

That price is most likely the Combo price with AMS 2 Pro.
