Speed up bed leveling by only probing area needed to print

I find it slightly annoying when I start a relatively small print and the printer probes all 25 points on the bed, instead of doing something like 4 points.
I think it would be really nice to be able to do that and save a considerable amount of time.

That’s not how it normally works. Under normal circumstances you have only the center probed.

Are you sure you don’t have bed leveling check box turned on? If you do, turn it off.

If you’re doing it by SD card, then yes, the firmware will do a full bed leveling. Maybe there is a way to disable it but I never bothered to find out because I do 99.999% of printing in Lan-only mode.

Un-check as desired when printing from the X1C SDcard:

i print with the standard settings and my A1 printer only bed levels the area of the print object.

Yeah that is the thing I love about the A1 series and H2D. It usesthe g29 a1 command veses the p and x series’ g29 a.
I tried adding this to my start gcode to replace g29 a, but it didn’t work :frowning:
