See pic, the Tube that comes from the back of the printer to the extruder
has split. Is this due to wear and tear or could it be filament related? I only ask as the filament being used at the time was Sunalu PLA not Bambu. This is the first time ever I have used non Bambu PLA.
I had that failure on the other end of the buffer just 10 days ago. The tube from the AMS to the Buffer right at the tight bend towards the buffer. Using mainly (but not only) Bambu filaments. Mainly PLA and PETG, no CF but (very) little Glow-in-the-Dark. Thousands of color changes as well. Even had a few single prints with over 1000 changes.
And guess what: My printer had something between 1300 and 1350h on it at the time. So pretty much the same ballpark figure.
I put my tubes failure down to usual wear and tear as a sharp filament edge is passing through a small radius. A straightener may help a little (if it does not move the problem elsewhere), but I will need to change my set-up soon anyway for a second AMS once the Hub is back in store.
Thanks for the responses. Have only ever used the printer for PLA. Given your data I am going to put it down to wear and tear. Have just ordered the 4M tubing so I have it ready to go for next time
Thanks for the help.
the tubes are consumables (also stated as such by BL on their wiki). After a while (number of hours depending on the types of filament used) those tubes will begin falling and need replacement. Either order a new set (preferably add another set as back-up) from BL or simply buy a 2 to 6 meter long tube from Amazon or AliExpress (much more cheaper and faster delivery). It’s advisable to always keep enough spare tube length to cover for such situations.
