Spool Weight in AMS

Is there a way to enter the weight of a given spool in the AMS? I see a text box at each slot but I don’t see how to enter a value.

Not that I know of. Which text box are you referring to?

I have two AMS units and in Bambu Studio there is a text box but perhaps Data Box is more accurate. Line 1 is material type, in my AMS 3spools of PLA but right below that is K 0.020 which to me is a live zero with max being 1.000 (I Kg, new spool)
I am printing off that ABS spool which is new so should show box as full and K 1.000 which will increment down based on slicers calculated usage over time.
The box with ABS has subsequently updated to indicate full but number has not changed

AMS Colors

K is not for Kg… It is the flow calibration factor.

Thanks, that is all I needed to know. Pity it isn’t weight. I think most people would find weight more beneficial day to day. I know I would.

K factor is really important for dialing in your filament especially on a P series where it is the only way to do it. Suggest you give it a try. Your prints will thank me.

The quality of my prints is such that I think I would see marginal returns compared to the effort expended.
I figure that Bambu has dialed that in pretty tight and as long as I stay in their ecosystem and use their filaments, it is baked in.
The TPU for AMS that they just churned out is to capture a certain certain 3d printing demographic.
Right when I asked the question, thinking it was a weight value, I had loaded a spool of ABS into a slot to do a test print and that K number changed from what it was.
The only way I am aware of to do that is via the RFID chip in Bambu Lab filament.
If you look at the picture I posted of an AMS taken from Bambu Sudio, notice the ABS K value is different for the ABS than the PLA.
I was watching it when it changed
