Start G-Code edit has no effect

I edited the “Machine Start G-code” and see the red icon showing it is modified. I close the dialog and reopen and the change is still there. But when I slice, the preview does not show the change and scrolling thru the G-code at the preview screen I don’t see my edits. What gives? Ver 1.9.2.57.

Digging further: stepping thru the first layer in the Preview I see the rear purge line is from G0 X253 E6.4 F4000 but I don’t find that in “Machine start G-code”. So how can I edit this code? There seems to be a disconnect between the editable g-code and the actual g-code.

None of the start gcode is shown in the preview. It renders only the model printing gcode. You can modify the start gcode and it will be added to the actual gcode that is sent to the printer. If you unzip the .gcode.3mf file you can see the full gcode sent to the printer.

The purge line is shown in the preview and I got it working. My theory is that my start g-code was not compatible after an upgrade so the app just ignored it along with my edits - not good UI IMO. Another suggestion to the Bambu team is to use tabs so one large edit is visible at a time as the small edit boxes are very hard to use with long g-code.

Studio 1.10 eliminated the rear purge line, if that is what you are trying to do.

You might also want to look at OrcaSlicer for larger gcode editing boxes.

My Bambu Studio with system preset shows rear purge lines and I’m on ver 1.9.2.57 so I’m puzzled that you say 1.1 eliminated it.
