Hi guys,
anyone can help to figure out what might happening here?
not the first time, and not with all filaments, but sometimes in the transition from a infill area to hollow area seems to create a “step” but my feeling is that to walls in the lower part are contracting.
Bambulab PLA Basic Beige
Without seeing an actual model to explore in Bambu Studio this is a guess.
The bottom area has a lot of material compared with the area above it.
All filaments react with heat and shrink to a certain degree. The larger the area and mass, the larger the shrinkage.
If you are going from the bottom part having a lot of material to the top only having walls, the thermal mass is large at the bottom and would be subject to a merger shrinkage than the rest of the model.
makes sense…any advise on what to approach this?
This is a reasonable article.
Hi.
I am also experiencing the exact same issue and rather than starting a new discussion, I am looking other posts first with same issue.
Have you by any chance had an improvement with this?
Thanks.
