Hey I noticed someone stole my skull bed and posted it on nexprint. They have a bunch of other models so you my want to see if they have stolen yours too.

I saw it yesterday and reported it (along with several other models from Makerworld). He took photos from original creators and made renders based on them (pretty good by the way). Now I see that there are no models on this account anymore, so I guess they removed it.

Yeah one of the renders he made from my design was pretty good so i saved it

Hmmm. I’ve been considering making a post about this as well as I actually had a run in with this recently, but the resolution was not really satisfactory imo
I had some of my models stolen from MakerWorld, they had copied every single thing from my listing, even the tags
I tag all my models with my username, so when they stole my files, they still had my username (and even a link to my Patreon on one of them) on the page
The annoying thing was that the automated process to report them as IP infringement actually lead to me claiming them as mine, but they were still listed on the other user’s page
So my models are stuck on nexprint, I just have to have them privated. I am not sure if they have changed this process since
I’ll make a separate post and add screenshots etc soon
