Strands and strings and different sheens and finishes

I’m finding it increasingly difficult to get the perfect first layer with multiple colors when strands from the previous color mess up the sequential color. You can see in this pic that the black is in the letter E - it is obviously a black strand from the previous color - I am printing black PLA at 220 and low speeds - so I get a higher gloss sheen for the black. This does not happen all the time but hoping there is a way to stop this. On my Prusa MK3 it is a manual process and I always make sure the area is clear.

Thinking I may need to print white first and then black - by then perhaps I’ll get white strands in the black that I can touch up with paint.

Not sure if something like this can be prevented but it is super frustrating

So by clicking on the nut icon along the side of the build plate I changed the order of the filament color processing. I now have the white printing first and then the black. That solves this particular issue.

But now I’m trying to identify an issue with these inconsistent glossy versus matte finish sheens visible as Lines on the outer walls. I reduced my cooling down to 50% and turned off the parts fan and raised the filament temperature to 220 with black overture PLA filament to achieve a higher sheen like I would get on my Prusa MK3S this has worked but I’m getting these lines along the outer walls in odd places now that are not consistent or uniform and they are different finish and sheen I’m hoping I can fix this by maybe turning off cooling all together.

I did use the preview mode and change the different layer visibility using flow speed and temperature and it does not indicate any difference like it would with some other prints where the color mapping would show if there was a inconsistency in the Outer wall. It’s problems like these that drive me nuts
