Strands of filament have been dropping on bed during preparation pre-print phase.
It’s bothersome when it falls in the print area and I’m wishing to print remotely and cannot clear.
So turn down your temps a couple degrees or use a different material.
Unavoidable unfortunately
Using a different material is a poor remedy.
I’ll try the nozzle temp reduction.
And when it does happen, you can be absolutely sure it lands exactly where it shouldn’t.
But as you said, it’s a pretty normal and unavoidable part of 3D printing.
No, it’s a perfectly cromulent one because people can’t just help you defeat the laws of physics.
Please don’t embiggen the importance of the tooic.
It won’t work.
As long as there is melt filament, it’s gonna flow out and stick at there.
You can try to use the print finish gcode to let the printer wipe the nozzles on the nozzle wipers again after say 3 minutes after print is finished. But the strand might still fly onto the plate.
Minimizing the moisture in your filament will reduce the issue. It will not completely stop it. Some materials are more prone to ooze than others. It is the nature of the beast.
What kind of filament are you using?
It was esun pla+ matte
Possible bambu matte
I keep a rag by my printer and often pop the door open and give the build plate a quick gentle wipe when this happens. You can time it when the print head isn’t going to be in the way or pause the print.
Would be nice if unit went across bed and air nozzle blows debris before print start
