Hello all, new to the game and learning as I go. I am working on a print of a FF 8 Gun blade and so far so good. Until this last STL file. I found that if I print it laying down a strange texture apears on the smooth surface both in the slicer and in the print. If i put the same piece standing up the texture goes away but i get other print issues due to the supports and time. Any ideas what could be causing this? I am on 1.9 release and i checked the beta too. Even a fresh project does the same issue after slicing. Here are the images
Pretty normal when you have small angle and different heights ( not flat surface)
it creates a wall and infill , You see the wall for the next layer infill
When you print it vertically does not apply only horizontal
Probably check the dimensions
Also in some cases may happened from the STL file , when there are two objects and surfaces. For this sometimes helps Right click on the object and use ‘Fix model’ or/and ‘Simplify Model’. This does not help if small angle on the top surface
Other trick but only good for some models which the bottom finish does not matter so much is to 0 the angle on the top and use good support for the bottom .
