Hello,
I am planning on printing the Cat wheel by Josh-3D ( Cat Exercise Wheel by Josh-3D - MakerWorld ). When Talking with my GF about the colors she would like it to be in she asked about the translucent PETG. So how big a difference in strength and resilience is there between the two? Also this is my first project using PETG I’ve only ever printed PLA as I’m still relatively new to 3D printing as a whole.
Edit: Doing a bit more digging I found these at the bottom of each filament types about pages.
Please note that the Bambu Petg translucent is not available in HF.
In HF PETG has a volumetric rate of 21 (colours) versus 6 for the PETG translucent.
What that means for me is a 8 1/2 hours print in translucent verses 3 1/2 hours in HF colours.
Thank you for the link and the reply but the comparison guide doesn’t list PETG Translucent as an option. As for the print time, we did look at all the colors available on the Bambu site and she showed the most interest in the translucents. I told her i would do some research on them but if they don’t work we did pick a different color set from the PETG-HF.
Oh I’m already headed down this rabbit hole because you are definitely correct in that the knowledge will help me in the future and while I was hoping for a short cut when I started this post now I’m hoping for someone with the expertise to make it easier to understand.
Thank you very much for the link you provided as well it will be of tremendous help.
