Sorry if this is a noob question, I’ve been printing a lot, I am now on my 4th bambu printer (X1, A1, A1 mini and now H2S) but I’ve always kind of been printing with defaults relying on the machine to get it right. Most of my models have been quite simple without the need of too much filament change/intertwining.
But now, I have to print something in translucent PETG and the only other PETG in black that I have is PETG-HF. See below. The filaments should be pretty dry, I am running the dryer for another 12 hours today and will give it another shot tomorrow but this is a longer print and can get expensive, so I am looking for some expert advice as to what is causing this to happen. When I got the print out this morning one of the hotends had some stringing on the nozzle, not sure if that caused it.
If anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate it and will report back with my next trial tomorrow. Could it be that the HF is not really compatible with the Translucent? Or they have different speed settings and cause that problem? Is there anything that I absolutely have to do to make sure this print comes out smooth? Happy to make it last 24 hours instead of 8 if quality is good enough. But since this is also a model I want to share and make available on makerworld, having a decent speed/quality ration would be nice.
thank you and I appreciate your time and advice. noob jokes are welcomed.
