Hi everyone,
I am trying to replace the hotend however theres one screw (the left one) that doesnt come out.
It spins freely and I can feel that I am at the end of the thread however no matter how hard I pull it doesnt come out.
I have tried WD-40, cutting the filament and pulling it back (maybe filament is stuck in the hotend idk) but nothing works.
Thanks for your help, I hope my question isnt dumb.
Hi Methyx.
Never be afraid to ask a question. Dumb questions don’t exist. Other than people who say your question is dumb. Ignore them.
That aside, I had the same issue as you. I solved it by turning the screw and pulling it at the same time with pliers. But the underlaying problem could be worse. When the screw is out, check the screw with a magnifier if you accidentally made a double thread. This sometimes happens when you put a screw back but it doesn’t catch the original tread and cuts a new one.
Did you notice that when you screwed the screw back the last time, it went in more difficult? That’s when you make a second tread. It screws up (pun intended) your screw thread or thread inside the printhead. Always be careful with turning back screws and let the screw catch the original thread. The moment you feel it doesn’t screw in easily, screw it out again and try again.
I hope my solution will help you to at least, get the screw out. In case the screw thread is screwed up (yet again, pun intended), you can replace it with a fresh screw. In case the thread inside the print head is screwed
I suggest you contact Bambu Labs.

Hi, thanks a lot I will try that however I never took out the screw, the problem was there since it came out of the box, so I dont think it could be that (thankfully).
Same issue. Other screw. Thanks for sharing. I don’t feel so alone
