Whenever I select multiple objects and right click “Mesh Boolean”, Bambu Studio crashes. It happens on Windows and Mac. I am attaching a simple 3mf file that can be used to reproduce. Any help would be appreciated.
I haven’t downloaded your file. But I’ve had problems with Boolean operations in other software, when, for example doing a subtraction, a surface on one of the two objects is perfectly aligned with a surface on the other. Try moving the “inner” object slightly, or reducing its size slightly to see if that stops the crash.
Thanks. It works with using the functions (button from top menu), subtract , intersect etc. I am talking about just right click and select mesh Boolean(as the picture in my original post) . That used to combine (union) multiple parts. Now it crashes.
Actually, if someone can tell me how to do a union on multiple parts. I would appreciate it.
Yes. I also got an error, but the three parts are combined, and you can slice it.
The issue relates to the two sides parts. I could improve it by fixing the mesh on both. The problem seems to be overlapping cells on the side parts; this can be easily enhanced when modelling. My guess comes from the crash logs.
How did you model it? If you are using CAD software, export the files as a step. It may help.
Anyway, it is good to know you are getting support from BL, and I would be thankful if you shared the solution with the community.
Thanks. For sure I will update. Support suggested that I use the top menu bar for the function vs right click. I used makers lab " Make My Desk Organizer" to create a tray and cloned it and wanted to combine so I can cut ( practicing my cut options…I am a newbie)
