Here is the situation.
At the Send Print Job pop up screen I am getting a Red Circle with Exclamation Point for the Filament selection drop down for everything but PLA.
(I have an A1 with no AMS)
I just updated to the most recent Studio Version and went to reprint something that needed a size adjustment. I was using PETG for the print and now at the Send Print Job pop up the Filament section I am getting a message that says " UNABLE TO AUTOMATICALLY MATCH TO SUITABLE FILAMENT. PLEASE CLICK TO MANUALY MATCH" When that drop down is clicked there is nothing to select.
The dropdown message
The dropdown with no filament
The PLA is the only thing that works

There has to be some setting that changed. I have looked all through Studio and am at a loss.
Things I have tried.
- Unsinstalling / reinstalled Banbu Studio
- Unselected /reselected filaments
- Disconnected my A1 and reconnected
- Verified everything is up to date.

From the printer:
- Use the filament button
- Select external
- Set the filament type to PLA (choose the closest match) and colour
From Bambu Studio:
- Select the Device tab
- Select edit (pencil) on the Ext Spool
- Set the filament type to PLA (choose the closest match) and colour
Until the printer knows you have a matching type of filament, it cannot perform the auto-match feature, and you cannot do a manual match.
You cannot have the printer think you have PLA when you need to print with PETG.
You must have both the same before you can proceed.

Thanks for that.
Issue resolved. I would never have figured that one out on my own.
You are very welcome, that is what we are here for, to help others.

Hi,
I’m having the same issue and the fix suggested does work.
However, as I don’t have the AMS, in the “prepare tab” and under “project filaments”, the only filament I can use is the one that under “AMS filament” and before the 2.03.54 update I could use anyone.
It looks like my A1 thinks I’m using AMS and it cannot recognize the filament.
Any fix for that?
Thanks
Yup. I don’t know why I did not think of that. I remember distinctly setting this up when I first bought this A1. I spec I forgot. Thanks for reminding me. BTW, I tried to find an answer to this issue about a week or so ago but got no love. Searched today and there it was as if I had listed the problem myself. Thank you so much.
Why is this suddenly necessary ? I have had the printer (no AMS) for over a year and always only set the Filament type in the Slicer. Is there a setting to go back like it was, i don’t want to have to set it twice.
