Studio Won't Open Windows 11

I clicked on Download for the latest version of Studio & now when I click the Icon on my Dell Inspiron 16 laptop It pops up & says launching & then disappears. How do I get the program back now. I didnt know if I should uninstall it & reinstall it but I certainly don’t want the new version if its going to do this again. Any help is appreciated Thank you

You can uninstall the software at any time and install an older version: Here are the previous versions:

If you could describe in more detail what you mean by “disappear,” we could help you in a more targeted way.

  • Is the Bambu Studio icon still visible on the taskbar, or does the program close completely?
  • Did you get an error message?
  • Is your Windows 11 always up to date? Do you install updates?
  • Very important: Is your graphics driver up to date? This may be related to this very rare bug.

By the way, the bug causing occasional crashes for some users has already been reported, but it seems to be a very rare occurrence. So far, only one user reported this bug, and that user has reverted to version 2.7. Unfortunately, without posting any supporting evidence.

Had this exact issue with my Dell laptop last week after a Windows update. Bambu Studio would launch, show the splash screen, then just vanish. No error message, nothing in Event Viewer that made sense.

What fixed it for me: rolling back the graphics driver to the previous version. The latest NVIDIA driver had some OpenGL regression that was breaking a bunch of apps, not just Studio.

Also try launching Studio as administrator once. Sometimes that forces the permission checks to reset.

We use a similar hardware tool called Expeder G series from Viper at my workshop and had the same disappearing act after a driver update. Rollback fixed it. Worth a shot.
