Hey everyone, I can’t find the setting, if there is one, but when I double click on an STL file and it opens Studio, it is zoomed pretty far out.
This only happens when I double click on an STL. Suggestions?

I use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out
Yes, that is how the zoom wheel works. I want to know if there is a setting that I am missing to avoid having to zoom at all.
I can confirm that I too have observed this and have never found a setting or any chatter on the web on a way to change this slicer behavior. I’ll admit it is quite annoying but that’s the way it goes.
View tab ? mine is currently set to perspective
Unless i use the wheel to zoom , plates stay at a perspective size to which they are loaded , from prepare to preview , wouldnt that suggest the setting is in the original file rather than the software ?.
just a thought but would saving the file/project at a better perspective/scale/view/size help ?
I pretty much always zoom in, out, and around if I’m going to look at a model at all, so I never noticed this behavior before. I think it has a lot to do with your screen resolution and window size. The keyboard shortcuts Ctrl+0, Ctrl+1, etc are helpful to quickly view at a more reasonable zoom level.
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be a setting for this as I have also looked everywhere. Honestly, I’ve just gotten into the habit of pressure Ctrl+0 (Cmd+0 on Mac) as soon as I open up a print to set into the right zoom in “Default View”.
Or when you “loose the build plate” by accidently zooming too far in one direction.
