StudioRC's modular Truck - powered by CyberBrick

Hey everyone! I’m thrilled to share my modular truck designed for the CyberBrick ecosystem! :articulated_lorry::dash: This is an evolution of my original XL truck from MakerWorld, now enhanced with remote control and other awesome features.

:link: Check out the original model here: MakerWorld XL Truck

And the best part? If you’ve already printed the XL version, you can reuse most of the parts and easily upgrade to RC! No wasted prints – just more fun! :tada:

:fire: What Makes This Truck Special?

:white_check_mark: Snap & Build Fun – Most parts connect with swallowtail & snapping connectors, making assembly a satisfying puzzle. No glue and minimal screws required! :jigsaw:
:white_check_mark: Massive Size – Fully assembled, it measures 32cm long, 9cm wide, and 12cm tall.
:white_check_mark: Minimal Supports – Designed to print efficiently with little to no support needed.
:white_check_mark: Modular & Expandable – Snap-on upgrades attach mechanically, so you can swap and customize on the fly.
:white_check_mark: Rugged & Durable – Rounded edges and a reinforced frame for extra toughness.
:white_check_mark: Custom Bearings – Reduces rolling resistance for smooth movement.
:white_check_mark: More Detail, More Realism – Open cabin windows, decorative tail lights, and fuel tank caps for added realism.

:rocket: Designed for Maximum Performance

I had an blast designing, iterating, and improving this truck. Huge shoutout to the Bambu team engineers who helped fine-tune the physics. :raised_hands: They advised on torque, traction, and even provided the tire profile!

:bulb: Key Mechanical Features:

:gear: 4-wheel drive powered by an idler gear.

:battery: Battery hatch with built-in power switch – no need to unplug the battery after every use!

:hammer_and_wrench: Tool-free battery access – The hatch snaps in place, so no screws or screwdrivers needed for recharging!

:building_construction: Snap-On Upgrades Available Now!

  • Sleeper Cabin – Because truckers need rest too!
  • Trailer & Containers – Load up and haul like a pro.
  • Airplane Upgrade – Yes, really! Because why not?

:bulb: More Upgrades in the Pipeline – What Should I Build Next?

  • Containers with working doors
  • Snowplow front mount
  • Utility cable front mount
  • Dumper attachment
  • Crane add-on

Which one excites you the most? Drop your thoughts below! :speech_balloon::arrow_down:

I hope you’re as excited to print this as I was to design it. Let me know what you think, and happy printing! :rocket::fire:

:movie_camera: See It in Action!

Do the standard size support CyberBrick as well or only XL model will support?

Excellent question! Only the current XL version can be upgraded to CyberBrick RC

Thanks for the update! Any future plan to include standard size?

Nice model, but too bad that I only have A1 mini currently the XL chassis unable to fit in A1 Mini bed size.

What a fabulous truck and design! Congrats!!! :100:

As for what next…why not take a bit of time to design a integration skid? track? plate? to interact with the existing forklift model they shared for the same bricks that the other maker did?

So if someone built that forklift and used their 2nd kit to build your truck here - that extra module could help the little loader pickup your crates?

If that makes sense. I think it would be cool if all the models somehow interacted with each other as one big playset - but not because they should - because the makers took 2 minutes more to β€œsee” other makers stuff and integrate with a little groove or track that fits the alt model and makes it all seamless play for kids.

Just a thought! Your truck is fantastic by itself of course!
