I’ve printed hundreds of these but they’re starting to fail on these corners (photo).
The second photo shows how it should look (on left.)
I’m using Sunlu PLA with default settings. Anyone have any idea what could be happening?

We need a lot more information to help.
Ok! I wasn’t sure what info to include.
- It’s Sunlu PLA White which I’ve used for many months of successful prints.
- See sliced screenshot for orientation
- It’s a P1S and PLA, but I’ve never read/heard to have the door open. Nor have I ever had the door open during prints as I thought that would lower the temp or allow too much moisture in???
Wondering if speed is the issue? Just taking these corners too fast?
That is a big overhang.
The latest version of Bambu Studio changed the speed of printing overhangs.
You should review the release notes to see if those changes are something you should need to be aware of.
It is recommended that you have a vent (door or lid open) when printing PLA as it can build-up the heat too much when fully enclosed.
Your success so far may have been luck. It will affect longer, bigger and more complicated prints to a greater extent than simpler, small and easier prints.
Wow, interesting. Thank you. I’ll look at the release notes.
Did you miss this? It was asked and answered.
I did miss that. Thanks! …
Yes, when I first designed it I printed it that way with supports. This way needs no supports and prints much better (usually).
It was corrected with speed tweaks. Thanks all!
You are welcome.
You are printing it the correct way as the surface quality is much better without supports.
