Suggestion: Allow searching for models that use hardware components

I recently bought the Maker’s Essential Kit using my makerworld points. Since models can list that they use some of these components, it would be nice if we could search in the other direction - eg. choose some hardware components and see models that use them.

For example it would be cool to see “all of the models that use the TT motor”, or even "all of the models I can print with any of (these components that I still have unused).

I agree, plus, one for OpenSCAD.

Two new highly publicised types of models that have been forgotten where it counts.

I see there’s now a Yes/No filter for “Makers Supply”, but unfortunately you can’t choose any items. For example you can’t see “things that use the motor”.

You can filter by “customizable”, which limits it to OpenSCAD, and sign and vase maker.

Does the makers supply filter narrow down the list of models enough for your purpose? The list of hardware parts can be too long to list every available type/kind for filtering.

We all received the same new features announcement today with this as one of those new features.

Cheers.

Oh yeah, the filter was there when I used it yesterday or the day before, so I didn’t realize it was part of the announced new features that was today.

I agree there are too many items to list, but I think they could be grouped (motor, bearings, springs, magnets). Right now there are a lot of results that are just use one magnet/spring/bearing which don’t look as fun to make as something that uses the motor, for example.
