The only ones that beat it are the systems that use drawer rails. The downside to this one is that it used ALL of my m3 screws, I think there is close to 40 in there if I remember correctly.
This has been a good idea that has been brought up a few times. The limitation is that it would not fit inside of the printer for shipping and would not really be compatible with the smaller machines. The H series is almost the perfect size for 1 AMS and 1 AMS HT.
I ended up using a dewalt drill with my precision bits in it. I stripped out the holes for the crossbars and had to put some heat set inserts in there instead. But that was so much more worth it than giving myself carpal tunnel.
Also, installing the M3x30 screws for the magnetic lid catches took me about 20 minutes. I just couldn’t get my screwdriver in there in a way that did not start stripping it out.
There are designs to put two AMS units side by side on top of a riser on the printer; the ends of the AMSes cantilever off the sides of the riser. That’s how I did it for my X1C.

I’ve been going back and forth a little thinking about doing my own. This is one of the things I’ve been considering, is an actual drawer rail for the bottom one. Then the top would be static.
I have an area of 41 inches by 24 inches and I might be able to fit something on the table next to my X1C, but I need to look up the actual footprint of the H2C.
I have an Eibos filament dryer (2 spools wide), a scale, tools, and a 5-plate printing plate holder. I could get rid of the Eibos dryer with the new AMS.
Excellent reasons. I keep looking at the AtomForm Palette 300 and its 6-roll version of the AMS which covers only 1/2 of the number of nozzles but is only 3 spools wide.
