Hello @MakerWorld right now when you are rating a model in the Handy app or online, there is no option to ‘boost this model’ and so if you want to boost a model, you have to go a bit out of your way to boost it separately.
I think people would boost more models if they saw the option to give a boost when rating something, which would be nice!
This is the screen I’m talking about - just add a ‘boost this model’ checkbox or something this modal. If the user has no boosts available, it can just be disabled with a note that they have no available boost tokens currently.
Been wanting this for a while, but never remembered to suggest it Whenever people boost models, they usually leave a separate message. Perhaps also clarifying that it will “Leave a public comment” would help as well?
Sorry to dig this up again but man I really hope they do this. It’s just very out of the way to do boosts, and I don’t think most average users understand it.
If someone is giving a 4 or 5 star review, it should give them the option to add a boost along with their rating.
Once a model gets going, frankly I don’t care much about the 50th 5-star review without pics or a description, because clearly at that point there is no disagreement that it’s a quality model. But I bet several of those people would have thrown a boost my way if they saw the option to do-so when leaving their review.
It’s like having the option to add a tip when ordering food - if that option is not visible, very few people are going to even think about it.
@MakerWorld can you give any insight into whether you would consider this improvement?
I am glad you brought this back up, though. It’s something that I’ve encountered a few times and had thought was annoying but just never thought to bring it up here.
I totally agree. It is also a level up for the usability for me as a user. If I rate a model I am invited to write a comment - the same thing happens if I boost a model. So at least at one of the pop-ups I have to “cancel” it and this is a little bit annoying. Giving a boost while rating makes absolutely sense!
