Suggestions for Bambu Lab and Thoughts On Improvement

We are all users of Bambu Lab. We all care about this new company that totally changed 3D printing. Yet it has many problems. According to some of my observations, I’ve realized that Bambu has:

  1. A bad customer service(Slow tickets, pushing responsibilities…)
  2. Horrible Makerworld(Removing models, being fairly harsh on users)
  3. We also get a variety of different other problems.

Yes, we can see a bunch of those all around the forum, but I think it would nice if everyone could post their largest problems and kind suggestions toward Bambulab on a major topic so that Bambu can read through it one day.
Bambu is still a new company, and it needs suggestions from our users.
Let’s all help Bambu Lab become a better company for everyone!

Well they posted this… not sure how much they followed through with any of the suggestions though…

I somehow very much doubt they want our input or help. Their own chosen walled up business model, their continued disregard for their own customers feedback, and complaints, their unwillingness to adapt and improve their relationship ewith, and support of their paying customers tells a different story that the one you suggest.
Personally, I’m now convinced, based on what these past 2 years have demonstrated, that Bambu doesn’t want to change, or improve its relationship with its customers. And somehow I think they don’t really care if their name and brand will still exist in 3 to 5 years from now.

I’ve endured the horrible support but I feel bad complaining about it. Compared to other Chinese 3D printer manufacturers it’s top notch, probably the best. Of course compared to western expectations of support it is absolutely atrocious. The problem is I’m not sure they realize how bad it is on an absolute scale, they probably think they are doing great.

I just don’t trust them anymore. The organized, systemic lying with the warped bed thing on the X1 was the start, then the bad fans, and so on. Now it is the AMS tape issue. They just don’t act in an honest and transparent way when problems are discovered.

In China here(I’m Chinese), it’s a bit better. There is customer service on Taobao, and they reply to you almost instantly. They are also pretty helpful. But anyway they’ve only got general advice to you, which means that you will still have to get a ticket. Again they are still pretty well trained at identifying problems and is enough for most of the time.

I do feel sorry for other regions as the service is absolute ****.
That may be an aspect they’d want to improve in.

Honestly I thought that there were no other topics like this(I browsed through any related thing), and was totally hit off guard when this happened.
But since Bambu is ignoring the old one, probably starting a new topic might have a chance to attract them again…

Hello, I think you’re being very hard on BambuLab. I’m not an employee of this company and have no connection with them. I discovered 3D printing when I bought the X1C and my experience is different from yours. I think makerworld is great for people who are just starting out, with all the models they share, and I’ve had answers to every question I’ve asked the after-sales service. I had a few delays in the delivery of one of my filament orders but, without claiming anything, I got a voucher to apologise for the delay.
I’m not saying that everything is perfect, but as far as my experience is concerned, I’m very satisfied with BambuLab.
Of course, I’ve shared my suggestions for improvement, but on the whole I’ve found it to be very effective. Makerworld evolves regularly with new features.
I think you’re very hard on them, I’m not contradicting your experience, but I don’t think you have to be too mean if you want to continue to be heard.
In any case, I wish you all the best for the festive season, and I hope you enjoy your impressions, which, in my case, have enabled me to make some lovely gifts for my loved ones and the young athletes in my sports club.

I personally LOVE Bambulab. I never had many problems, but I’ve seen a lot people complaining about this. This might mean something.

The old saying (where I come from) : " There’s no smoke without a fire " has been more often than not proven to hold true even nowadays. There’s also another old saying that states “When two people tell you that you’re drunk, you’re definitely drunk and better go to bed”… Put the main ideas of those two old sayings together and in relation with how so many Bambu users keep complaining about how Bambu customer support treats them, and one should get the basic idea of where the real problems lie. Despite all the above, Bambu keeps not just ignoring but even denying the (undeniable) facts…and don’t appear to want to improve or change its MO concerning its paying customers…which raises the question on whether Bambu’s staff (and management) really care if their business will be still alive 5 years from now.

I would like to add something. An ams like accessory that recycles failed prints. So you just chuck in all your bamboo turds and it would shred them up and make filament out of the shredded plastic.

It would be awesome! But organizing colors would be a pain. For example: Poop from white to black switch: Where to put it? But I like your idea if you’re going mono-material printing. Bambu could definitely mass-produce those machines and turn them into something faced more to beginners instead of machines now being hard to get and without support. It’s like how DJI managed to commercialize drones!
