Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 (& other +'s) ... Anybody printing with it on an A1?

Need a stronger PLA for some functional prints and am looking at a few options. Has anyone tried Sunlu PLA+ 2.0? What results have you seen? How does it compare for stronger prints with normal PLA? Not quite sure what the 2.0 means. Would you recommend? Hard to determine things with these +/Pro/Tough PLAs since manufactures typically don’t provide any info on what the additional ingredients are. Makes it hard to assess how they might work.

I know BL has a version too. Any comments on BL’s variety? It seems a little pricey, what results have you had?

Also looking at Elegoo Rapid PLA+. I use several other Elegoo filaments and have had really good luck with them on my A1 (especially at faster print speeds). Has anyone used this version? How as it been working?

Appreciate any guidance.

I’ve actually had some pretty good luck with the eSun pla+ filaments and the Sunlu ones as well. Also some other decent ones I’ve used have been Overture and Polymaker.

Which Sunlu PLA+ filaments have you used? Have you used the 2.0 version? If you’ve used the + versions, how do they compare with standard PLA? Guessing any differences wouldn’t be totally obvious visually but did you find them stiffer and more flexible. Would you consider them tougher?

Hi,

I have used Inland PLA+ for the first time today on A1 for AMS Lite enclosure and have been happy with the print quality, cannot comment on the strength part though as I do not have comparative normal PLA prints

I just got 12kg of Sunlu Pla+, I will update with strength results within a few days.

Is this the 2.0 version or the original PLA+? Appreciate any guidance, thanks. I got some Elegoo Rapid PLA+ and trying to do calibrations now, hope to start printing with it this evening and see how it goes. I’ve never used any Sunlu filament but may switch over to Sunlu PLA+ 2.0 if this doesn’t do the job. One concern is that it has a more limited max print speed of 300 mm/s vs the Elegoo at 600 mm/s. If you test how the Sunlu does at speed, please let me know.
