Support and Choosing Filaments

First, Big Thanks to Bambu Support! The response and quality response are better than most other print manuf, with exception of FLSUN’s USA- based Rep., who will schedule a video call with you for troubleshooting, when needed. Bambu addresses support with prompt response times, excellent videos, and their Wiki Support Library.

Now, to Filaments…when possible, I’ve bought Amazon Basic’s line or ‘what’s on special/discount. That has generally worked for other printers I have; Creality/Flashforge/FLSUN. BUT, the trade off has been that Bambi’s Carbon X1 has much better features, and with much better results. So, while the ‘approved’ list of filament makers is limited (and generally more expensive); if you’re using the AMS, stick with the filament manufacturers named in the drop-down. Off-list manufacturers are better used non-AMS, with the single spool.

No real complaints, just a heads-up.

Thanks for the info there. I have been using a mix of BL filament and other third party spools in the AMS. For the third party spools, I have been labeling them with the applicable generic filament profile (e.g. Generic PLA for a protopasta spool of pla). So far, no issues with third party filament and the generic settings but of course some tuning of the filament profile will be necessary eventually.
