I have repeatedly encountered a problem when printing with a thread is started, which ended unexpectedly, and the backup is not configured in the AMS. It is especially annoying when this happens at a time when there is no access to the printer. You have to leave the printer in standby mode until you get to it and install the necessary thread in the active AMS slot. And that’s where the question arises - why doesn’t the manufacturer give us the opportunity to set up free slots in the AMS while the printer is printing something (although they did this feature for the AMS lite a year ago),or why I can’t manually assign a new AMS slot if the thread has run out in the current one (if, for example, I don’t care that the part will be printed with plastic in different colors). Is this functionality really so complex that it cannot be implemented?
For understanding, we are talking about the X1C Combo
