Support for PLA/PETG filament interface keeps peeling off

Whenever I try to use Bambu Labs Support for PLA/PETG on my X1C it keeps peeling off from the edges during printing, ruining the whole print. I am using it as a support interface and I’m using the recommended settings in Bambu Studio. I even tried drying the support filament for 8+ hours and it did the same thing. The layer before it does the support interface layer is smooth and doesn’t have any bumps. I don’t know why it would peel.

Bambu Studio Support Settings (what ever is not listed here is set to default) :

  • Top Z distance: 0
  • Interface pattern: rectilinear interface
  • Top interface spacing: 0
  • Independent support layer height: disabled

Support Filament Temp: 210c

The layers that are supposed to print over the support interface are bumpy and bunched up because of the interface peeling:

This is another print that got destroyed for the same reason. Peeling from the edges, not adhering properly to the layer beneath it.

Any help or tips will be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Troubleshooting Filament Bambu Lab X1C Troubleshooting

Have you tried default settings? having all your interface settings on 0 is probably causing this.

When choosing the support PLA/PETG filament as support interface, Bambu Studio recommends to change some settings such as setting the interface to 0. I’m not sure what the default settings would do

Do you use A) “Support for PLA/PETG” or do you use B) “PETG” to support “PLA”?

If A), I’d reccommend going for B).

If you want to stick with A), try reducing the max flow rate (by say 25%) to slow it a bit and use an interface pattern with less abrupt acceleration. “Circumferential” is not ideal but it may help in this case.
