Support (interface) material for ASA / ASA-CF

Hi
I’m looking for a material which is temperature stable up to at least 100°C (better 150°C). It should not be crazy expensive, and that’s why I would like to give ASA / ASA-CF a chance.
Therefore I need a material for support / interface layers, but I could hardly find any information. Did anyone try the Bambu ABS support for ASA or anything else from Bambu?

Bambu suport for abs is hips with additives. It’ll work for asa, just don’t use limonene as it attacks both abs and asa

Ok thanks, I will give it a try.

In my experience short exposure to limonene will mostly dissolve HIPS and not damage ABS. I see references claiming that some specific ABS filaments are susceptible to limonene damage.

Bambu specifically recommends dissolving their HIPS version in limonene. It’s likely this was only tested with their ABS. As a starting point I suggest assuming that Bambu is competent in understanding their recommendation. The Chinese are by far the world’s largest producer and user of ABS.

I don‘t need dissolvable support. I need something, which works equally well as PETG support for PLA.

Thank you for this! I was scratching my head about why my layer was failing at the support layer! I forgot I had decreased the flush volume to decrease print time. Well, that caused my first layer to fail! I was printing PETG with a PLA interface layer.

Thank you!
