Support transitions

Happy user of an A1 mini with only one thing that bugs me - removing supports that stick to the model. I noticed that with the tree(auto) support Type, irrespective of the support style I choose, the supports don’t have “support interface” and “support transition” layers between the support and the model. If instead I decide to paint the supports myself, then the software adds the support interface and transition layers. When the support interface and transition layers are added, the support doesn’t stick quite as much and the printing quality is superior. However I cannot seem to manage to make the software include these support interfaces and transitions using the automatic generation of interfaces. See examples below showing the difference between auto-generated and painted interfaces. The darker green lines are support interface and transitions. How to force the software to include them in the auto mode?

AUTO MODE

PAINTED SUPPORT

Any ideas anyone? I also found that if instead of the tree support I choose standard supports, the support interface and transitions layers (darker green in the second image above) are always added. Please help!

It is a know bug in the latest version of Bambu Studio.

Is it? Wow. Something pretty obvious and hopefully easy to fix?

So how do you get around this bug? It’s pretty obvious, I can’t believe bambulab can’t fix it? Removing supports is a pain because of this. I have seen posts on this issues from 2023. How is it possible that this bug hasn’t been fixed for 2 years??
