With the ability to print with different materials do you find yourself printing supports with cheaper or even different material or just print the entire object as one?
I’ve done both and while printing supports with cheaper or different filament is nice it increases the print time quite a bit.
What do you guys find yourselves mostly doing? Printing supports in the same material or cheaper materials?

tried to use HIPS ( solvable with D-limonene) for ABS and ASA ,works great, but the time is increased and most often double
So currently using normal support , and only in exceptional cases will use HIPS . managed to tune the normal support to remove easily
Also have used the tree support but not any more or rarely

Print time does drastically increase with filament changes, so I think the answer is it depends. Maybe use cheap support for expensive filament and time isn’t a concern and the same supports if the filament isn’t expensive.
I haven’t done much testing yet but using a different filament type for supports is attractive, especially if the supports separate from the model easier.
I’m guess the temp changes for different filament types would also increase print time…
