Supports for ABS with aux hotend?

Want to print ABS with PLA supports via the aux hotend. But get warnings in slicer about mixing temps when the chamber is heated. Don’t really fancy cleaning clogs experimenting and Bambu’s Supports for AMS is out of stock like seemingly half their filaments right now!

Anyone tried this yet? What is their Support for AMS filament - a higher temp PLA?

Now I’ve started printing supports with aux hotend I can’t go back - it’s great!

Thanks

I printed ABS with PETG HF hotend, 50% change of clog.
Chamber temp about 65℃ thanks to active chamber, while PETG HF glass transition temperature is 66℃ so it’s very high change of clog. PLA is even higher change of clog.

I recommend use PETG Basic as support if you don’t have Support for AMS.

It’s HIPS not a high temp PLA. You can buy it from other manufacturers, but it likely is called HIPS not Support for ABS.

You’ll definitely get a clog. and it is NOT fun to clear it from the bowden setup(ask me how I know!)

Glad I didn’t mess around trying it! Will have to get some HIPS or the Bambu stuff if it comes back in stock. Thanks.
