SVG as modifier not using colour when sliced

I want an SVG flush with the surface in a different colour. So rather than using it as a part (where I have to kinda aim to get it flush with the top surface), I want to use a modifier and select a different color. But when sliced, the symbol is nowhere to be seen

To add to the confusion - it does initially create a prime tower

But when sliced the second colour disappears

Can you upload the .3mf file as it will be easier to explain the issue.

Sure :

box.3mf (1.3 MB)

It is an odd problem that I haven’t been able to figure out yet.

Duplicating a similar setup using a part and modifier on another plate yields the expected results.

Further investigation is required.

Yea adding a new primitive and a new modifier in the same project - works …
Adding a primitive and adding the same svg as modifier works also … so for whatever reason, with the model in question it does not.

Not working in v2.0.3 either …

Interesting enough … when I export the parts individually as STL, create a new project and add the modifier - it works … So SOMETHING is up with that 3mf I guess.
