I have two H2Ds. The first has two AMS 2 Pros and the second only has one. The first uses the standard textured plate and the second uses a BIQU cool plate.
Clicking “Sync printer information” only syncs for one of the two printers which means I’m constantly forgetting to make the required changes for the print job.
I have enabled the multi-device option in preferences but that’s not really helping me add two H2Ds which are synced to a specific machine only.
On a side note, my other printers (X and A series) all appear in the multi-device list, but neither of the H2Ds are available to add to manage in that tab. Any thoughts?
Unfortunately, the option only syncs the current printer you selected from the device tab.
Unless Bambu Studio v2 has fundamentally changed things (I do not use it), this only affects the filaments and is unrelated to the build plates.
Multi-device mode is designed to view limited information about the current print statuses and provides no real controls or additional information.
This doesn’t make a great deal of sense. Your printers should all be registered to your account. You can access them when logged into your account on Bambu Studio or Bambu Handy.
If you have them configured on more than one account or split between multiple accounts, you cannot manage them from one studio instance.
Have you used the Edit Printers button on the Multi-device tab?
As with all changes you make, the last Studio still open locks changes.
If you need to make fundamental changes, only use one Bambu Studio window instance. Examples include: changing printers and available filaments.
Once you have made your changes, close this window before opening any more. This will ensure your chosen changes are set for all new Studio instances.
