I get that Bambu is trying to save server bandwidth for video streams, but it is now VERY annoying to leave Bambu Studio on a spare window so you can watch over a print and have this happen frequently. If Bambu wanted to save server resources then Bambu Studio could attempt to make a local direct connection if available and fall back on a cloud stream if that’s not available.
Read this thread. It’s about the Liveview feed.
Sounds like they’ve got it wrong, this has nothing to do with the computer going to sleep - the machine I’ve noticed this on never went to sleep, just the Bambu video window blanked.
The problem was that the computer never went to screen saver if liveview was on continuously. I guess a lot of owners complained enough for them to change it.
Maybe the computer you were watching didn’t have a screen saver setup to activate after certain amount of time.
You can also go to github and request a feature that you would like to have implemented in future updates.
Preferences(Ctrl+P), Media, Keep liveview when printing.
Thanks for the info about the preferences, the info link on the messages doesn’t go anywhere useful that would mention that the preference option has been added.
Just click on the “play” icon on left side of image screen and it comes right back
This does not fix the issue, for me.
Video still has the exact same error “temporarily closed because there is no printing for a while”
If the printer stops printing it will also stop liveview. Then when you start printing again you will have to start liveview again.
For clarity, the discussion is when the printer has_not_stopped_printing the camera should stay ON… but currently Bambu Studio software is closing the video stream, either by design or a bug.
Correct, the same message pops up on my P1S, and it is annoying, and that option is not available to me in the CTRL-P options table. I have the latest Bambu Studio software loaded -
What version is your BBStudio? I have the latest version, 1.9.5.51 and I do not have that …
