Text Modifiers Disappearing on Painted Parts

I have Text modifiers on a part that show up just fine when the object is one color. When I add paint to the part the modifier is on, the text modifiers will disappear when slicing. I have tried restarting Bambu, restarting the laptop, creating a new project and other things. I have done this previously with no issue. Any one have an idea?

I am having the same issue. I wish I could help, but a lot of googling is turning up nothing.

The key I found out tonight is the painting. I was working on an file, and part way through I changed my mind on the colors. I was also embedding text on the back of the item. When I painted the back to match the new color my text modifier disappeared. When I re-did my colors and started the the color that the back was going to be in position 1, (so no painting) they reappeared. Unfortunately, I have not found a work around for a painted item.

Same and it still seems to be going on :frowning: works fine on a blank part but if I try on a painted model it wont work at all.

did you ever find a solution to this issue? I’m having the same problem

I found a work around, not really a great solution. I split the item to separate objects and change the filament of each part instead of painting. Then changed the filament of the text modifier and all was well. Has something to do with the paint over writing the text modifier.

Just came across this thread and was having the same issue still. Found a slight work around which is to paint the model and then export it as a “Generic 3MF” then open the new exported file and add the text “Modifier” and it will then appear in the sliced model. Hope this helps solve some headaches like it did for me. (Hopefully Babmbu Lab fixes this in a future update)
