X1 Series: X1/X1C and AMS Firmware Release History | Bambu Lab Wiki

Important to note:

Ensure the AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT are disconnected, before performing the update. If any of them are connected, the update might fail or give an error.

For X1C, the region selection page screen might show up after the update.
If this happens, the solution is to reboot the printer to skip this region selection page.

Sounds good - just to make sure, as a X1/P1 user I “just” need this in addition: AMS 2 Pro Switching Adapter

Do I need the AMS hub, if I want to use the AMS 2 Pro in combination with an existing AMS 1? Bambu Lab AMS Hub

For the first question - Yes, if you have a Combo version of the printer, and already use the AMS, then you simply remove AMS and install the new AMS 2 Pro using the included accessories.
The power adapter is needed to use the drying function.

If you don’t already have an AMS unit, you will need to purchase the Filament Buffer

For the second question - Yes. The AMS Hub is needed to attach more than one AMS unit to the printer, at the same time.

Cool!

I updated my P1S and my AMS 2 pro. But forgot to disconnect AMS 2 pro before. What do I do now? I can’t get “drying options”. P1S firmware: 01.08.00.00 AMS PRO2: 02.00.19.68. + power adapter
The update was successful, and no errors occurred

Does this update include the new security features that close down the MQTT comm protocols? Ergo - will Panda Touch (and other 3rd party tools) stop working?

Possibly, but if it doesn’t then it will probably come within the next two-ish updates.

My Panda is still working. (P1S firmware: 01.08.00.00 )

Drying without the ability to print is a pretty impractical thing. I don’t understand why you can’t print and dry at the same time. I can’t turn on drying when I don’t have the filament pulled and I don’t have rotation checked.

When will this update be available for the X1E? I haven’t seen any firmware updates for my printer in a while.

No but there are issues with printing from Orca (P1S with AMS-Pro and AMS cannot print on FW 01.07.50.16 (Beta version) · Issue #9392 · SoftFever/OrcaSlicer · GitHub)

Additionally, when using the printer’s control panel, you cannot select the K-value for PA/PET support — the machine simply fails to retrieve any values. Although this option is available in Studio, it isn’t accessible directly on the printer.

Moreover, immediately after the update, the printer is prompting for a carbon-rod cleaning. Studio shows no such notification, and this maintenance shouldn’t be necessary so soon. The printer ought to allow at least 1 kg of ASA to be printed before requiring a full cleaning, shouldn’t it?

Where do i get the 01.08.00.00 firmware file?

Hello to you all,

Is firmware 01.08.00.00 available for X1E?

You don’t have the new firmware, it’s 1.09.00

You need 1.09.00.00 to have the new one, the OP should have included that information as well as the new firmware for the AMS and maybe a link to them.

I think this is only true for PLA and some others (support etc), other materials should be OK to dry with the filament inserted and rotation disabled.

You still can’t print with it though…

No, the v1.08.00.00 being discussed here is only for the P1 series.

The most recent firmware for the X1E is v01.01.02.00 (20240716).

unplug and replug the ams, and possibly do the update again

It seams that i have buy AMS 2 pro for nothing coz i can not use it features with X1E.
like Ikarus said latest firmware is V01.01.02.00 for X1E .

This is just shame. I havent know this before i purchase AMS 2 now is like i have regular AMS. this is what they say on site: Description X1 Series and P1 Series are compatible with AMS 2 Pro.
