The AMS-HT failed to send out filament

Every time I am starting a new multicolour print (I got six HT ones) - one of them throws the error initially

The weird thing is, all I have to do is hit retry and it prints … all the way through a proper 17hr print job.

Doesn’t matter if I swap the PTFE, or the filament, it really seems to happen only once per print (so far).

Anyone seen this ? I think I found on Reddit a post (can’t remember where I read it) that one guy replaced the hub inside the H2D - but I got multiple units hanging on that side of the nozzle (left) and given they are connected to a 4in1 hub and it’s always the same, I kinda don’t think it’s the actual hub.

Anyone seen this ?

I have this same issue! More annoying than anything. This is only happening on an HT that I moved from my H2D → H2S and I thought it might have been that. Hopefully they can fix this soon.

I am going in circles with support atm … they just keep asking for logs and videos to just ask days later for more logs and videos.

I now bought myself an internal hub for the H2D. I also bought new cables and PTFE tubes. So I will be doing a big maintenance job this weekened including replacing hub and cable and tubes.

I also bought two more units (total of 8 now - prefer them over normal AMS) so will see how they behave.

Did you ever figure this out?

Mines still the same, though more sporadic, but still only with AMS-HT

It could be an issue with the feeder unit or the AMS HT Feeder Hall Sensor Assembly.

@tonyt76 Never … I have taken the HT apart and replaced pretty much the whole electronic, I replaced the built-in buffer in the H2D, I have changed positions, replaced PTFE tubes and whatnot - still happens literally only for the first load. So for example, if I know I need that slot, I manually load filament before kicking off the print and it never happens again. If I don’t do this it will literally throw the error the very first time it uses the slot.

Bloomin gremlins …

Just got an AMS HT and it does this exact same thing every single time i start a print if the filament isn’t already loaded. Also if i try to manually load the filament through the screen it just sits there and doesn’t try to load and then errors out, and then all i do is remove the filament and put it back in and it is fine.

Personally I’ve given up on trying to solve it. Via Bambu I pretty much changed almost the whole insides of the HT - I even changed the internal hub inside the printer. It kept coming back. There seem to be weeks where it doesn’t happen and then every time I print.

I wonder if it’s a software issue tbh … just makes no sense.

this is a shame, really sucks dealing with everytime i want to use my AMS-HT

Totally get it … It’s frustrating but funny enough it stopped now which makes me wonder if it was a bug in a previous firmware as I didn’t use the printer for a few weeks and when I started it up again, it updated which was followed by a 5 day print without issues …
