The Community Tab is Chaotic

This account has over 600 community posts, including such gems as:

And also re-re-reposts:

@MakerWorld, are you going to remove posts that are completely unrelated to printing? Or how about the reposts and constant begging? This is just a mess…

The community tab is honestly pretty useless, it’s just a stream of miasma that you can never find again even if you tried. I can see going to a specific person’s ‘wall’ to see their posts, but the big bucket everything is in just feels like Facebook from 2008

All of these accounts that use the community tab like this are children ranging from 10-13.

hahaha no… there are some very good things on there and most of those posts are just to give all those grumpy people like you something to laugh about.

Lets look at your last few posts, you’re really not adding anything to the communtiy, you’re just spamming nonsense

Sure they do… Bet they are real happy thst you spammed some pancake emojis  This is a community for 3D PRINTING Not a comedy show for 6 year olds.

I’m sorry but why exactly did you want me to see this? Did I do something wrong? I didn’t think I did

sooo who is the 6 year old?

Uhh, got a link to here by user_2330303136, which I’m assuming is you. Why?

I posted it on the community so people would read it and hopefully stop spam posting but that backfired quickly.

Yeah, it kind of did. Also I don’t see the problem, its just some semi funny stuff. You don’t have to look at it if you don’t want to.

And also lets all be glad that while the spam is kind of bad right now, at least it isn’t completely brainrot, like you know what .

The community tab is hot garbage and needs some kind of barrier to entry.

Something like, posts can only be made when uploading a model (to which then people can discover and comment as new things are uploaded, just like in the model comments, but a communal wall of them)

It’s definitely not THE solution, but it’s A solution anyway

Alternatively just remove it, I truly dont believe it brings value to the platform

It makes us want to avoid the community page altogether but that is not something everybody understands.

Nope. The community is not for constantly spamming your advertisements for your very few models you have. For example advertising once when it releases would be ok but not spamming everywhere even in comments telling people their benchies need accesories.

I agree this needs to stop. This is turning into a social media for 10-13 year olds. As soon as I commented that they need to stop posting random content they just say you are a cyber bully and proceed on. I think a good solution could be Bambu looking at every post before it is posted to make sure it is 3d printing related and not random junk.

Wrap your mind around this… there’s a possibility that all the people posting there will soon have access to a 40w laser.

Oh no, I hope not the same people who’d do this

Those machines are too safe… And yet still need some safety labels

(or as any experienced OSHA tech would say: let’s get rid of all safety labels and make the problem take care of itself… and let darwin awards have more awardees)
