The H2D is $325USD more in NZ than Australia

Are you really expecting New Zealanders to pay over $568 NZD more than Australians?

Also this is a listed “sales price” the normal retail price is $4700 ($856 NZD more.)

bambu decided to withdraw from selling in New Zealand directly a few months ago but now we just get price gouged by there “Authorized Resellers” What a ■■■■ show.

What is the cost to buy one in Australia and ship/import it?

This is one of the reasons I won’t be buying another Bambu machine, they dumped us with 3rd Party Suppliers who pumped the prices up straight away even after promising “competitive prices” with no notice.
The other reason is the whole Bambu Connect debacle and how they handled it was really disappointing.
It’s really a shame because their printers are very good.

It’s worse that that, mindkits just put the price up. I had almost convinced myself to pull the trigger at $3809 NZD but now it’s $4122 making it more than $820 NZD more than it is in Australia.
Apparently that’s still the preorder “discount”

For clarity those numbers are for the basic h2d without ams

It does come with ams, “Bambu Lab H2D 3D Printer AMS Combo”

You can purchase it with or without. Just like how you can purchase the X1C with or without AMS. The non-AMS version doesn’t ship until later, but it exists.

Bambu’s NZ direct sell business model sucks. Not just for buying new machines but also filament and accessories. Here’s is what I am struggling against at the moment:

  1. Price gouging
  2. Inadequate stock levels
  3. Walled off from bambu’s sales

I can’t get what I need here in nz. I look on bambu labs australia shop site. I find exactly what I’m looking for, at significantly cheaper prices than nz. I also see they are having a sale making the items even cheaper. Wtf

I can’t access what i need and am forced to buy 3d party products and some bambu filament off FB that was parallel imported by some random dude.

Not Happy!

Bambu Labs please review what’s going on here. It is broken. You want your users to stay in the ecosystem you created? Do not starve them!

Please remove the authorised seller setup in NZ and re-enable purchasing from Bambu’s official online store.

Here is one small example of how poor the Bambu Labs reseller system is here in nz

Bambu Australia online store:

X1 PEI build plate: $52.69 AUD

NZ Resellers:

PBTech - X1 PEI build plate: $82.00 NZD
Marvle3D - X1 PEI build plate: $81.92 NZD
Mindkits - X1 PEI build plate: $82.03 NZD

Current exchange rate is: 1.00 Australian Dollar = 1.0844352 New Zealand Dollars. So the X1 PEI plate on Bambu’s official store is equivalent to about $56.16 NZD. Approx 30% cheaper that the NZ resellers

Australian buyers get free shipping when spending more than $77. New Zealand resellers do not offer free shipping. Shipping costs further increases the cost of purchasing bambu products in NZ by about $10 per order.

$92 for a new build plate is just absurd.

The reseller system is severely disadvantaging Bambu customers in NZ. It is forcing us to use 3rd party brands and grey market suppliers.

Please remove the authorised seller setup in NZ and re-enable purchasing from Bambu’s official online store.

Thanks.
