The Icon, Redefined — Meet the P2S

Welcome.

We do not know yet, no announcements, nothing hinted out to reviewers who gained review printers.

I have been saying removing it doesn’t make business sense as it is a useful stepping stone in price between the P and H2 series.

It could go either way.

Can I just say that after seeing the way you can effortlessly connect 2 AMS’s PTFE tubes to the P2S that the 4 to 1 splitter hanging off the back of the H2 series is janky and not thought out. :man_facepalming:

Exactly!

Plus, how many people bought a hub for the P and X series after being told by Bambu Lab that it was a requirement in all their literature and product sale pages.

£50 when a 4-in-1 could be had for £5.

Class-action law suit anyone?

Keep in mind, both the buffer and hub contain entirely unnecessary electronics.

So we didn’t get the pancake maker once again?

sigh :weary:

Feeling pretty stupid having bought a P1S in July 2025. Having owned an A1 and A1 mini I didn’t realize the nightmare of the nozzles on the older printers. Took me at least 20 minutes to put in a hardened steel nozzle. Plus it was extra $$. Sure wish I had waited. My A1 is still printing great, I just thought the core XY was going to be cool. Oh well. hopefully get some print time out of it. Or maybe I can sell it and justify a P2S :slightly_smiling_face:

it has the ai detection thingy though, and autp flowrate calib like the a1 series

i use a bento box and get a 47 degree chamber on a p1s after 5 mins of preheat and start process including abl

Its kinda funny now since saying H2S is just a larger X1C sounds stupid now cuz the P2S is out, and is legit only different by a single letter.
The X1C’s main thing was its LiDAR and carbon rails, not the fact it has a single nozzle xD. With the P2S now released, users are now more able to reap the benefits the H2D has given this 2nd generation of bambu printers without having to pay even a third of the price. I do bet however that before the H2C drops, the H2D (and maybe the H2S) will have a significant price drop, possibly going from 2,000 USD to 1,600 USD, or even 1,500 USD at least.

if p2s or x1c price drops i might buy one. which one should i buy? I’ve had a good experiance with my p1s without ams, might get ams 2 for it.

What’s now making people buy X1C over p2s

I mean it sucks but is what it is. People are in your situation whenever a new version of literally anything comes out. That is simply the risk you’re taking purchasing any model of anything that’s several years old in a relatively fast moving market such as 3D printing and tech at large.

I personally don’t think a company is or should be obligated to compensate people who purchased an older model just because a new one came out, and in general there’s no real way to avoid stepping on some peoples’ toes. Some will buy at a bad time it’s not really the company’s fault. They can announce it earlier, but then they’re still going to have people who just bought an older model right before the announcement, leaving them in the same situation.

There’s no real reason to get an x1c over a p2s, unless you just really, really, really want lidar for some reason.

I feel like bambu lab needs to fix some immediate problems like uneven surface or the noise. I watched some videos on the problems and i see three main ones. ONE: The large fans cause a lot of noise and can be louder than usually. TWO: The layers shift because of the uneven motor vibrations. THREE(Most important): The circulation is trash. The air circulation is only interior and the unhealthy air has to come out of cracks or openings in the printer’s housing. The carbon filter doesn’t filter the air coming out, rather it filters the air for the prints. I think bambu needs to fix the circulation problem by somehow changing the design of the printer soon, and they need to fix the layer uneveness problem. The layer problem can be fixed by a software update, but the air circulation definately needs to be fixed to a degree where it isn’t a downgrade from the P1S.

thats what my bento turbo box is for

Bambulab really needs to fix the air circulation in the P2S, and again, like @stuff2 said, videos reviewing this have already told bambu to just slap a fan on the back of it, problem solved, easy as that, only a dollar more. The layer uneveness can just be fixed through firmware and lastly, the noise isn’t really much of a problem unless you sleep in the room right next over or you live in an apartment room, at that point, the reason why they have OTHER printers to sell.
This problem should be fixed as SOON as they can or else many people will have the “beta” version of the P2S, making it quite unfair to those who got the model early, probably recalling them and giving them a free printer would be a good idea.

This, maybe keep the small screen since its a signature style to the p series and maybe make the camera better. Just minor flaws that will make everyones day.

It looks thats what they did here, but it still makes the X1C price ranger value perspective kind of not worth it for the average user

Better question, with the P2S only costing 50 bucks more than the P1S, why’d you buy the old model anyways? Not to mention the fact the P2S actually costs less than the P1S did on release, and its not even close.

Bambu would have to make that thing dirt cheap or take it off the shelves. (keep the P1P though, that makes sense for someone on a low-budget)

Dang, you were right there was a hint I found some evidence there could possible be a X2C and a P2P…
