Also got job to download - still slow, but working.
Will just keep trying hopefully will upload soon ![]()
used the sd upload with card reader for now
For anyone still having similar issues I just came across this post.
What I did I factory reset the A1 and it solved the issue.
The file I tried to print was sent to the device within 15 seconds.
I also had a parsing error before (or something like that).
Now it works as it shoud.
bij mij werkt het nog niet. zelfs de combo lite syncen werkt niet, heb jij die fabrieks reset al geprobeerd ?
Can’t print to any of my (10) printers right now with Studio, but I could 3 hours ago. I can control the printer (home) access the camera and send files via Studio. But it won’t print from the cloud.
Will someone at Bambu please look into this. Possible DNS issue.
i did the factory reset, and indeed it fixed the problem!!!
thanks @Dzeller
And also the DNS issue was resolved. Could have been my ISP. But it’s working now. Factory reset should never be the answer.
sound promising, what does network test tell you ? Mine still comes back with an DNS issue.
My DNS is still not working. Also checked their DNS History and they moved things to cloudflare recently (2025-06-29) it seems. On the status page of Cloudflare i can see the are having maintance and failovers going on at the moment. This might be the cause, but the status page of Bambu still says there is nothing wrong…
(cloudflare handles DNS)

Also in their DNS i can see they are using Amazon SES, probebly the location of the upload/download storage. As Amazon is also having issues the past days with their DNS, this also might be connected with the issue. I think we have to wait until monday for them to be in the office again and to pick it up then.
@bambulabs Please bring back full local controle of the printer and make Cloud optional, it is not sustainable in the long run.
Indeed, but for now it worked
Why would Russian hackers need this?
Actually, the fact that print jobs are sent through the cloud is a very strange approach. My phone and PC are on the same local network - why send the files to the cloud and then download them, when they can be sent directly to the printer? Yes, I can enable LAN-only mode, and then everything will work directly. But in that case, connecting the printer to the PC becomes inconvenient, and I lose the ability to view the camera feed from my phone.
They need to add an optional choice to use the cloud or not, because all the necessary infrastructure is already there. As a frontend developer, I generally like their software and the printer’s firmware - they did a great job. But when it comes to sending jobs through the cloud, they really messed up. I hope they will improve this one day, and DNS issues won’t bother us anymore.
Just in case, I should mention that you can go into the printer settings and enable LAN Only mode in Bambu Studio and connect to the printer using a code. I have an X1C, and I think this feature is available on any Bambu printer… right?))) I hope so)))
mine is also working again. It is stil a bit slow on the download part, but happy it works again. Also find it very strange it all has to go through the cloud an would also have preffered it was local.
i did not factory reset anything just waited (while i did my prints manual via microSD)
I’ll try sending a print job via the cloud now.
It’s working, but the upload is extremely slow - it only uploaded 4% in 5 minutes. The problems are still there.
I created a ticket about the issue 3 days ago, but no one has responded yet. The waiting time is very long — it’s disappointing.
It’s a simpletons approach, it helps them not have to worry about network configuration at all. “Can it reach internet” is a question the average consumer can answer, “is your printer on the same subnet as the device you’re using” isnt… It’s a willing choice to embrace the affluent [redacted].
Jokes on them though, their AWS access costs must be insane. They chose the most expensive way to operate an FTP server lol. They must be monetizing the data from every-print-ever-sent-to-a-printer to catch up on it, which just opens up more questions…
I agree that not everyone understands what a LAN is, but everyone understands that both the PC and the printer need to be connected to the same router. I doubt that an average user would have multiple subnets, and then you’d have to explain subnets to them as well. It’s more a matter of the wording in the instructions so the meaning is clear to everyone. And there are always settings for advanced users. They already exist now — LAN Only — they just need to be revised.
It seems like you view bambu’s “LAN only” configuration as a solution. I encourage you to disconnect your printer and computer from the internet, and try to start a LAN-only print with current firmware + bambu studio. You may understand why SD card is the only true fallback.
No, I meant something different. We need a setting that allows us to choose how the print job will be sent — through the cloud or directly over LAN. The printer and the PC should be able to communicate directly via LAN while still having access to internet services — for example, so you could send a job from your phone through the cloud or watch streaming video on your phone in another room. You could even choose the method of sending the print job at the moment you start printing.
Why should they be disconnected from the internet in LAN Only mode if the internet isn’t used in this mode — what would that accomplish? All these days while this issue has been present, I’ve been printing over LAN and I haven’t had any problems — it works perfectly. The only thing is that a VPN shouldn’t be used for Bambu Studio at that moment (if a VPN is needed, you can configure split tunneling in Amnezia).
Maybe I didn’t fully understand what you meant.
I prefer letting people experience the problem than to try to describe it and upset the white knights. Unplug the modem, keep the router plugged in. LAN with no WAN. Load up bambu studio, and try to configure your printer to LAN, and send a print.
Lets just say the cloud is baked in pretty well to current versions of Bambu Studio and current Firmware.
