I use a mac with my X1C and have found when a print ends I need to select from the options of ‘Close’ or ‘Reprint’. Until I select ‘Close’ I am unable to start a new print. If I don’t make a selection I get the Printer is busy alarm. Could this be your problem?
I just got my P1S today, got it set up, downloaded latest firmware, printed a test object and decided to use the ‘unload’ option from the Windows GUI. I got a message in red to pull the filament out, which I did, confirmed and it left the printer in this state. I did a reboot and it went away.
I’m getting this error after every print. My X1C finished the job fine and sits idle, but the bambulab software (windows 11) only shows “The printer is busy with another print job”. This persists even if I refresh the printer.
What fixes it on my end is to close down the software and restart it. However, this is extremely inconvenient because I have to re-import and slice the models each time.
@BambuLab Please fix this bug!
bug-report
What version of Bambu Studio are you using and what version of firmware is on the X1C?
BambuLab V 1.7.6.92
X1C Firmware: 01.06.05.01
You might try updating to the latest Bambu Studio release (1.7.7.89)
10.30.2023 “The printer is busy with another print job”
[This is my 2nd X1C setup & still plagued w/ non stop issues]
Slicer[s] Bambu’s OEM slicer and Orca slicer just updated: v:1.8.0
I updated my pc aps, phone app, and both printer & AMS to their newest fw versions…
The error is still popping up non stop…
The filament is not even installed in the ams slot[s] - everything is empty…
The tool head is empty - yet the error[s] claims Failure to retract / unload…
DEAD IN THE WATER
In the pc app - OrcaSlicer I can’t even print now…
No matter what slot is selected, the error keeps popping up, and SLOT-4 is the only 1 in question…
Slots 1, 2, 3 are loaded already Slot 4 EMPTY [Yet won’t load or even give the button/option]
Resetting did Nothing… Updating did Nothing… Online help/facts - Don’t anser/fix / Not helping…
PREVIOUSLY - Bambu tech helped w/ a TON of issues on my 1st X1C setup…
Weeks in / Overwhelmed, it was warrantied / replaced…
Both sent back - received this ‘new’ setup, and Not Once Has The AMS Ever Functioned Properly!
I’ve had to manually load and unload each slot - IMPOSSIBLE to do auto - multi color prints…
***Mysteriously, “tickets” no longer sent, e-mails are no longer answered… 100% Ghosted…
I go from 1 ‘defective’ setup to 2 ‘defective’ setups, and left to do trial and error repair ‘attempts’,
and at this point… I’m about ready to throw the whole setup out of a 3rd story window
and let the concrete ‘fix’ it all for good…
All this time later, these X1C setups still aren’t functioning as advertised,
we’re still doing our own testing, fixes, mods, etc. and all for free…
I bought the damn thing to Make money - Not hemorrhage it between replacing parts
that might work and/or wasting borrowed-time…
As of now - this thing is back to being an extremely expensive paperweight
working on it’s way to becoming a rifle target…
Sigh
Same problems here…
Have to restart bambustudio
Since I have a second Bambu Lab printer I can avoid the problem by switching to the other printer and back to the “busy” one.
Just clicking “Refresh” doesn’t help.
I’ve been experiencing the same issue. It’s gotten worse over the past few weeks. Today, I have to restart the printer and the slicer between almost every single print. Very frustrating.
Same issue - experienced engineer with 5 other printers. Bambu, get ur stuff together, not a good look to have a useless machine. Definitely getting worse.
I have same issue, quickest way ive found to solve it is go onto internal models on touch screen start a print like a benchy or whatever comes up first, stop print straight away and then print from slicer as normal and hit the refresh button to find your printer and message goes and print sends. annoying but this process takes seconds.
I was having this issue and pressed the cancel job button to the right of the display. The button with the three red arrows making a circle. My problem may have been caused by something different that other here, but when my spool of black ran out and it successfully continued with the other roll of black and finished the print, it held the job as still in process, even though it sent the bed to home and I loaded a different spool in the empty AMS slot. I restarted the slicer, no dice. It would not recognize that I had replaced the empty spool. After pressing the cancel button, it asked if I was sure I wanted to cancel the ongoing print job. Yes. Then it ran the spool identification script and listed the new spool in the slot. Then without restarting the slicer, I reset all 4 spools and we are back to printing. So the cancel print job button was actually the solution in this case because it was stuck not recognizing the empty spool had been changed out.
If you really are an engineer it’s no wonder you are having problems.
Issue still persist,
using latest Bambu Lab Slicer 1.8.4.51
Restarting Slicer, works for me
I didn’t have this problem until today, I’ve been reading through and have tried the suggestions, restarting Bambu Studio which is version 1.10.1.50
I am getting exactly the same issue as was originally reported. When I click “Print plate” the dialog shows under the Printer “The printer is busy with another print job.”, however it is not. I’ve tried restarting the slicer, didn’t help.
I had this issue today. The way I was quickly able to resolve it was to go the Bambu app and cancel the print there (since it was already finished). I then immediately got the notification “print was successful” and “print was cancelled” and then the printer was available again. Cancelling it in the slicer probably works too.
