I feel like verification is something that should be expanded. An overhaul in the reasoning behind the green check* to include any account that has a Bambu printer connected to it and frequent contributors to their community.
If you have a printer connected to your account then Bambu Labs already knows who you are. That should be instant verification. I have no idea who owns a BL printer and who doesn’t, but there are many people here who should have verified status with BL. I’ll use Basti85 as an example. A frequent poster on the forums, 36 total models uploaded his first 6 months ago and his latest 2 days ago. Pretty sure he isn’t a bot or plotting anything.
For those users who don’t own a BL printer and have no history on this site or another, then perhaps verification via phone number or some other method.
I feel like a large amount of the community can be verified. And once they are, those verified accounts should have the ability to buy and sell models for points. For those who want to go back to earning 25 points for every 25 downloads, it’s easy. Just sell your model for 1 point. Who doesn’t have 1 point? You can earn 50 just for rating profiles. If I want a model, losing 1 point isn’t going to stop me from downloading it.
*The Verification badge is designed for creators with accounts on multiple platforms to authenticate their accounts, as there have been incidents of fake accounts in the past.
