The wait ends on March 25! šŸš€

If I need laser engraver or CNC, I would buy one that is inside a 3D printer. But that maybe that’s just me.

From another angle, when I buy a 3D printer, I only want to pay for a 3D printer. I don’t want to pay the extra for laser engraving or CNC.

Does BL say this new printer is their flagship printer? or just a new printer?

That’s how it was, I just downloaded it from their CDN.

here is a brigther version

Gotcha, thanks for that…

ā€œtop-of-the-lineā€ and ā€œAbove our current X1 seriesā€ were both used by them in regards to this printer, and they’ve replied to people calling it the flagship without denying it

I will not pay 3k to buy that Snapmaker. I would rather buy one very good 3D printer, or two X1Cs. How’s the sale of that Snapmaker? I would love to know if it has broad appeal.

It would be absurd if laser engraving or CNC were not optional.

Yes, it’s a flagship.

From what I can tell it reviewed well, but there aren’t a ton of consumer reviews for it, I think it’s a bit niche due to the price

So they didn’t state that the new printer is their new flagship? But some in the forum interpreted that as a flagship?

Toms hardware has an upcoming review on the 25th

lets just hope they have enough in stocks for all of us on the 25th im buying hahah

I don’t think they have explicitly used that word in their own base posts, but they did not deny it las February when someone asked after the golden ticket winners were chosen

For reference:

Wondering how difficult it will be to replace/fix or maintain. Looks pretty complicated.

Yes, they have

The X1E is still the flagship for engineering, available only from suppliers, in the store

If the new printer is positioned as the new flagship, it will mean that it is designed and produced to have mass appeal. It will unlikely have functions like laser engraving or CNC which is niche.

BTW, a flagship will also not have a big price tag. A flagship is usually the best seller of their product line. A big price tag is not going to sell that many.

…I’m realizing I had a misconception of what flagship meant…

It’s flagship sometimes and top of the line sometimes, so I don’t think they know either lol

So they did say ā€œflagshipā€. I will be surprised if it has laser engraving or CNC in it. But I can be wrong. It’s not like I have studied the market
