The wait ends on March 25! šŸš€

Soon we will know and whether H2D is a thing for the broad audience (what I do not believe). But will be a interesting piece of technology.

I hope it has a good discount for its release.
I wouldn’t mind being part of the test group, as it would be my first 3D printer.
And it would be great if it really had a laser cutter and CNC, as speculated.

I speculate a heavy load on store servers due to pre-orders at 25th march!
I can’t wait longer to order it!

I did not recognize that meme as JD Vance and the joke went completely over my head. Thank you for explaining that. :+1:

My guess is that they are going to release the picture in around two and a half hours so at 3 pm cet. That’s the time they will do the full reveal next Tuesday.

2 ears? that’s a robot at that point!

I’m sure it’s been talked about (though I don’t recall seeing anyone mentioning it), but I would love two different sized nozzles side by side.

I print small magnets with extruded text. Would be great to use a .6 for the body and have it automatically change to the .2 for the text on top.

thats the goal  im sure we can do it as they do it with the prusa xl
its just a bit of simple coding in the slicer you choose different nozzle size and the slicer will output it in the gcode

Here is my guess/wish:
March 18: Dual Extruder Printhead
March 20: Easy change heads (extruder, laser, small Mill head, with 4th axis control (rotation for using the laser and mill head on round objects)
March 22: 3D scanner (multi-axis laser scanner) for bed leveling and for scanning objects
March 23: AMS that connects/controls chamber temperature and air filter

Im not sure on how Bambu has done launches in the past. Are we thinking they will be available to purchase on the 25th and delivery shortly after or will this just be an announcement but can’t purchase for a few weeks yet?

Pre-Orders open March 25th

They said on Twitter that a ā€œlimited numberā€ will be available upon launch. So if you’re quick you can probably get one on the 25th

Yes, It will be faster than a tool changer, however it might have the same problems as a tool changer such as needing a prime tower, stringing, and nozzle blocking so it doesn’t leak filament everywhere.

In the preorder frenzy, for US customers if the printers will be shipping from China, be aware import duties will probably be involved. The duties when printers hit US shores could also be different than the 20% tax on goods from China in place now.

If you could buy it today and it ships from China you are probably looking at a $200 bill for every $1000 the printer costs. $2000 to own this bad boy? $400 bill from customs in the USA if you want to see your printer on your doorstep. Plus potentially other fees for handling the transaction.

People should just be aware. What the printers cost to order may not be all you have to pay. Plus, might want to look at how merchandise/goods are handled if import taxes aren’t paid. Goods with unpaid duties can either be returned to the shipper or sold at government auctions.

EDIT: Hey, that’s not a carbon rod.

Also looks like those are quick swappable hotends like on the A1?

Yeah, I would have assumed this based on the fact that is a much easier/simpler design choice
